Easter Sunday at Christ Church
You are warmly invited to join us for our Easter Sunday celebration! There is no better excuse for a party than the news that Jesus is risen!
We are trying something different this year. An ancient tradition of the church is a dawn Easter Sunday vigil. One of the first things Jesus is recorded as doing after he was resurrected was to cook his friends breakfast on the beach (John 21).
We are smashing together these two activities with a fantastic Easter morning breakfast! Starting at 8am in the church hall we will be serving a delicious hot meal and plenty of tea and coffee to wash it down. A koha is appreciated.
Then we gather in the church at 9:30am to celebrate and worship Jesus, our Lord and saviour, who has conquered sin and death. There will also be some baptisms during this service.
Bonus: It’s also the end of daylight saving so you get an extra hour of sleep!
